Professional
information
I have been teaching for more than twenty years in the Lower Mainland of BC, Canada. I have taught most subjects K-7 and Humanities 8-12.
I love what I do. My main goal whenever I work with individuals, groups or classes is to make a connection with them and help them connect more effectively with themselves, their world and each other.
I look for the dry kindling within the students I work with that I might (to paraphrase Y.B. Yates) "light a fire" in my students.
I seek to inspire and be inspired by those with whom I work.

Clayton Elementary
2012 - 2014
I am currently working as an Elementary Learning Support Teacher at Clayton Elementary in the Surrey School District working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 7. I have extensive access to iPads and this has enabled me to 'play intentionally' with these devices as I seek to discover how they might positively impact the students I work with.
